There are hundreds of museums all around Spain you will need to visit but one of the most famous and well know is the Prado Museum. Located in Madrid very near the Retiro Park, this huge complex is the host to many of the worlds masterpieces.
With the painter Goya as the protagonist in this world of art, you could literally spend days even weeks here, admiring not only the art work but the architecture, surrounding sights and sounds. The Prado is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 8 PM.

The Andalucia region of Spain is known for its picturesque Moorish monuments. With places to visit such as Seville, Granada, Malaga, Cordoba and many more you will find yourself in a warm and friendly place.
Within this region one of the most amazing and most renowned sites is the Alhambra located in the city of Granada. The name Alhambra comes from an Arabic root which means “red or crimson castle”. It was originally created for military purposes, known as an alcazaba (fortress), but also known as an alcázar (palace) and a small medina (city), all in one.
The history here is as overwhelming as its beautiful surroundings. There are official guided tours that will show you all the wonders this place has to offer. This should be one of the first things on your list to see here in Spain.

It is a tradition every January 6th, the day of the Adoration of the Three Wise Kings from the East, and on which traditionally Christmas gifts are exchanged to consume the Roscon de Reyes.
This pastry is one of my favorites and I never miss this tradition. It is a sort of round doughnut in the form of wheel, and is decorated with little pieces of frosted fruits.
The tradition started around the Roman Empire times when this pastry was offered to the God Janus. Each roscon contains a price or two inside and it is said the person who gets the price will have good luck the entire year.

There is so much to see in this beautiful land that we don´t know really where to start and even once you decide where you want to go, once there, there is so much to explore you wont know what to do.
In this first chapter of our journey, I would like to start with a quick overview of the regions of Spain which are Andalucia, Aragon, Asturias, Belearic Islands, Basque Country, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y Leon, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galica, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, La Rioja and the Valencian Community.
