Winter time in Spain is a beautiful time whether you are in the north with the blistering cold of the snow and wind or in the south enjoying an almost summer night breeze. One thing is for sure winter time in Spain calls for chocolate and churros. This delicacy is a long time tradition and could be enjoyed at any time. A great breakfast treat, snack, or after a late night where you are a little past tipsy and its around 6 am (it really helps a hangover).
Churros are a fried-dough pastry that dunked in the piping hot thick chocolate are a treat you will never forget. This is not something you want to eat everyday but in the winter time all is fair and you can indulge in this delight without any guilt (until summer). You can try to make the churros yourself but you need a lot of patience and practice. I stick to my favorite cafeteria and start dunking.

Ibiza is often called the white Island for its typical architecture but it is mostly known as a party island. It all started back in the 1960´s when Ibiza became home to many hippies that made their home there, making nudist beaches a normal part of life. Nowadays, even though it still continues to be a town for the young to be wild and free, it offers a lot more than that for people of all ages this includes families.
There are two ways to get to Ibiza, you can take a boat there or simply fly in. Once there you can visit Ibiza’s historical center, located at the top of the hill and enclosed by town-walls where you can see the cathedral, Museum of Punic Art, and the archaeological museum. But, the beaches are the protagonist of this tiny island. Relax in any point you find and get ready to party if you are up for it. You will not be bored at any time.

Spain will be doing some standardizing of clothing sizes to help in the epidemic of anorexia in this, and other countries. It is a fact that most teenage girls want to be super skinny like the top models that glide through the runways, but this is becoming a dangerous obsessing and something has to give.
Spain is thinking ahead and taking measures to fix this problem. By 2008 they plan to have standardized all dress sizes used by all manufacturers so that women could go in to any shop and know which size they need instead of having to try different sizes in hope that one will fit.
A country ahead of its time Spain is becoming a power house of influence in Europe and will surely be a contender to the rest of the world.

One of the great things about the Mediterranean is that there is great weather almost all of the time, which means you can enjoy outdoor activities whenever you are in the mood. One of the best things to do in this part of the world is sailing. With the openness of the sea, you are free to venture out into the ocean and enjoy the salty breeze the wind brings you.
Azul Sailing is a Spanish company that offers you a vast selection of sailboats and other yachting equipment. You can rent a boat with a crew or simply go at it yourself. Calpe is an artist town, with the inspiration of the peñón de Ifach (Calpe Rock) which is one of the most spectacular sites within the Costa Blanca. It is one of the most amazing rocks you will ever see, towering 332 meters, it seems to flow out of the sea with a strong energy that makes you gasp. It has recently been declared a government nature reserve and one could see why.
As you approach the 13 kilometer stretch of coastline that covers the Calpe region you start to get a peak of the peñón de Ifach and you can’t wait to get there and see it up close for yourself. Once there the views are extraordinary as is the entire quaint town. There are many restaurants and small cafes along the beach where you can enjoy the view from afar.
Calpe’s old town is becoming a favorite to many who visit the Costa Blanca due to its variety of amenities and activities. Centrally located it is a great spot to either start your day excursions or as your final destination. Believe me, you may not want to leave.
