Although Father’s Day is celebrated throughout the world, different countries celebrate the same holiday on different dates. This is a very important holiday for everyone here in Spain. It is a celebration of the family and one of the most important member of that family which is that of a Father.

Traditionally a token gift is given to fathers, but the biggest part of this holiday is the coming together with friends and family and enjoying time spent laughing about old times while enjoying a great meal.

I specially would like give a very special “Feliz Dia del Padre” to my father who is far from me now and my husband who shows me everyday what a great father is. I hope you enjoy today and everyday with your love one.

Skype, one of the best options to connect overseas

Posted by julia on 16 Mar 2007 | Tagged as: Spain

Now you can live anywhere in the world and still communicate with your loved ones for free with the thanks to Skype.. The greatest invention ever made. I love living in Spain but I miss my friends and family back in the U.S. but with the help of Skype, we talk and see each other everyday. All you need is a computer, a webcam, microphone, a skype account (free) and you are ready to go.

Staying in touch has never been easier (I sound like an advertisement). I love to be able to give a guided tour of my surroundings here in Spain for all my American friends who have yet to make it to Europe. They love to see the sights of the Mediterranean and watch from afar a bit of the Spanish life.
