The beautiful Picasso Museum in Malaga will hold two new works of art in its complex, the Retrato de Paulo con cuello blanco and Retrato de Olga which were acquired by the ministry of culture for an estimated three million euros with the collaboration of Unicaja. The paintings show Olga Kohklova whom Picasso married in 1918 and their son Paulo who is father to Christine Bernad who along with her son Bernard Ruiz initiated the museum with their generous donations of paintings.
The two works of art are available for public viewing starting March 5th, in the second hall of the museum which also holds other works inspired by his wife and son.

In New York, until the 1st of May, you can enjoy the exhibition of the New Architecture in Spain which is realized by the MoMa. In the exposition you can see extraordinary projects which mix traditional and ritual elements with perspective and creativity, and with remarkable contributions of very popular architects who came from Spain and from other countries.
There are very important works such as the Barajas Airport (realized by Richard Rogers) or the Vallearceron Chapel, realized by Sancho Madrilejos; both works are in Madrid. Nevertheless, the project which impressed me is the railway station developed by Herzog & De Meuron some years before they won the Pritzker. It is a small project with a poor budget, but it also is a creative idea with an enormous personality and with a big worth. This allowed a practical element to become a symbol.

The Lladro’s porcelains are a symbol of taste, and most of times an original and special gift, an opportunity to discover the beauty side of life, a moment of relax and joy. Lladro, from Valencia (Spain) is the leader in this market, with several flagship stores and a strong style. Lladró is art, not contemporary, but ethernal.
You can find a lot in ebay and other sites. There’s a second-hand market, antique-like, where the products are bought by collectors and investors, because is a product that most of times gains value trough the time. The reason is the beauty of something limited, as the figures of Lladro are.

Probably one of the most popular books, and probably one of the less read. But with very very popular parts (the battle with the ‘Molinos’ is one of them). The battle is a constant in the book: the battle against the reality, the battle against they themselves, the battle for an impossible love, the battle that is lost in the beguining. Justice, Love, Crazy, Sadness, Looser… El Quijote is a hard book about oue selves, that’s because it’s so popular, so contemporary.
