The Spanish actor who has dubbed the voice of Woody Allen for more than 20 years got a big surprise when Allen himself offered him a cameo role in his next feature film which will be shot in Barcelona this coming July and August. The actor was thrilled to hear the news and gladly accepted.

The film which co-stars Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem is still untitled but knowing Woody Allen I’m sure it will be a great success. This is the first time Allen shoot a movie in Spain so I’m sure Barcelona will be an exciting place to visit this summer, maybe we can catch a glimpse of all the stars in their salsa.

Well, its official although ticket information is not yet available, what is known is that the date is set to be September 27th, 2007 in the Barcelona Olympic Stadium. The Police who announced last month their comeback will only visit this city in Spain during their world tour. They will start in Stockholm and end in Cardiff.

The top Spanish actor Javier Bardem has agreed to act in Woody Allens next film, together with the beautiful Penelope Cruz. The film is planning to shoot in Barcelona next summer. It will be shot in both Spanish and English and tells the story of young Americans who arrive in Barcelona. The screenplay has yet to be completed but it is said to be a dramatic comedy, Allen favorite style.

There is no name yet for this project but Spain should be proud to have two of its more famous actors starting in a role together and under the direction of the very talented and internationally renown Woody Allen. Barcelona get ready!
