Where else in the world can you go to a restaurant have a couple of tapas then go off to a cozy room to take a siesta, I’ll tell you where, of course in Spain. Although the Spanish government has tried to abolish the siesta on several occasions, the Spanish are not letting go of this long earned tradition any time soon.

Well, it seems many hotel and restaurant owners have teamed up to offer special siesta packages which they have named “Iberian yoga”. Hotels such as Las Casas del Rey de Baeza in Seville offer exclusive deals so you can enjoy a great meal then relax for a couple of hours afterward then go on your marry way, no questions asked.

I love this country. Everyday I find more and more things that just make me say “Viva España”.

What an honor for the second year in a row the restaurant El Bulli who is headed by chef Ferran Adrià located near the community of the Rosas. This is the third time this restaurant has receive this honor which is given by the prestigious magazine Restaurant. There is a total of 50 restaurants in the San Pellegrino list in which 5 are Spanish restaurants.

This makes Spain the fourth country with the highest number of restaurants of haute cuisine in the world, France being first on the list. El Bulli head this great list and you can see why. This beautiful place touches all your senses which is why I think it has won the hears of the judges year after year.

The Mirador de la Peña was designed in 1998 by César Manrique in the explanada that peaks through the Valle de Frontera in the coast of the Island of El Hierro in the Canary Islands. Inspired by the gorgeous views , the restaurant is a contemporary place which uses natural materials to convert it to a fantastic two story fantasy parador. The huge bay windows allow all to see through them to the open sea.

The view is not the only spetacular asset of this place, the food and service add to this must visit place hidden away awaiting your presence.
