Every country has their own personal and traditional rituals they celebrate every New Year´s Eve and in Spain the most famous one is the eating of the 12 grapes 12 seconds before midnight. Everyone has their grapes ready and as soon as the times draws near, one by one the eating of the grapes begins, making sure you are done right at midnight.

Other traditions include wearing a red undergarment, ringing of bells and as everywhere else in the world the kissing and hugging that comes with the arrival of the New Year. The party doesn’t´t officially begin until the Cava is poured and the “brindis” is made.

Have a very Happy New Year and don´t forget your grapes.
