I could think of many more but I decided to ask around and find out why some foreigners live in Spain. Here are the top 5 reasons given to me as to why the felt that Spain offered them everything they needed and wanted.

The number one reason many people move to this part of the world is the climate. The Mediterranean region has one of the best climates in any part of the world. In parts such as Alicante, Benidorm, Murcia, Malaga and the southern part of the country the sun shines almost 365 days a year.

The second reason for leaving everything behind and moving to Spain is the gastronomy. Many people feel the healthy lifestyle and fresh foods offered within the different regions, specially the Mediterranean diet as well as the grand selection of wines and cavas are well worth the move.

The third top reason given was that of the language. Many people came as students to Spain and just never left. They feel Spanish is one of the most important languages in the world and want to be part of the Spanish society.

The fourth reason given was the culture of the country. Spain has a little of everything to offer, from the mountains to the beach and cold and warm weather even different dialects spoken in different areas. It makes it as if you are living in many different countries in one.

And the last reason given is the people. Spanish people are warm, friendly and courteous.

So there you have it, in a nutshell. Are you ready to give it a try?
