Txacoli, have you tried it?

If you don’t know what Txacoli is don’t worry, until a few months a go I also had no clue but thanks to some connoisseur friends I have been introduced to this fantastic drink. Txacoli is a type of sparkling white wine the proceeds from the Basque region. It is poured like sidra but has a much tastier and refreshing taste (in my opinion).
If you live in the United States you can now find three denominations of this wine from the Vizcaya, Gipúzcoa and the Alava regions. Most trendy restaurants especially in New York and San Francisco have caught on to this new craze and are going wild for this tasty treat.
If you haven’t tried it don’t be afraid of the name pronounced (chacoli), it is worth any embarrassment you may endure while trying to order it..
